We want everyone to be able to use our website and apps, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard instead of a mouse, magnification, or other assistive technology.
Who runs these sites
These sites are run by Munshian Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11786884). This statement covers:
- munshian.com, our website
- ledger.munshian.com, Munshian Ledger, our accounting and MTD VAT software
- vat.munshian.com, Munshian VAT, our bulk MTD VAT filing software
Our aim
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That means, for example, that you should be able to:
- use every page and form with a keyboard alone
- zoom text up to 200% without content being cut off
- use a screen reader to read pages, labels and error messages
- read text with enough contrast against its background
How accessible these sites are
These sites are partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. We build them with accessibility in mind, using clear headings, labelled form fields and plain English, but we have not yet had a full accessibility audit, so we can't say they meet every requirement.
Known limits
We know of these limits:
- PDF documents. PDFs the apps create, such as VAT return receipts, may not be fully accessible to screen readers.
- Spreadsheet imports. Munshian VAT and Munshian Ledger can import Excel files. The accessibility of a spreadsheet depends on the software you use to prepare it, and error messages about a file can point to cells by row and column.
- Pages from other services. When you connect to HMRC you are sent to HMRC's own sign-in pages, which HMRC is responsible for.
If you find a problem that isn't listed here, please tell us.
Reporting a problem or asking for another format
If you have trouble using any part of these sites, or you need information in a different format such as large print, plain text or an accessible PDF, email hello@munshian.com. Please tell us the web address of the page and what the problem is.
We'll reply within 5 working days.
Enforcement
If you're not happy with how we respond, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS).
