These terms apply when you use our website, munshian.com, and our online accounting software, Munshian Ledger (the "Service"). Please read them carefully. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.
1. About us
The Service is provided by Munshian Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 11786884), whose registered office is at 167-169 Great Portland Street, 5th Floor, London, W1W 5PF. Contact us at hello@munshian.com.
2. Your account
- You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account, including what people you invite do.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone has used your account without permission.
- You must be at least 18 and use the Service for genuine business purposes.
3. Price
The Service is currently free. We may introduce paid plans in future. If we do, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice, and nothing will be charged without your agreement.
4. Your data
You own the records you put into the Service. You give us permission to store and process them only to provide the Service to you. You can export your data at any time. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
5. Tax returns and filings
- The Service helps you prepare figures and, where available, send returns to HMRC. You are responsible for checking that your records and returns are complete and correct before you submit them, and for meeting your deadlines and paying any tax due.
- Figures produced by the Service, such as Corporation Tax or Self Assessment figures, are based on the records you enter and are for you or your accountant to review.
- The Service, our guides and our website don't provide tax, legal or financial advice. If you're unsure, speak to a qualified adviser.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service for anything unlawful or fraudulent, try to break or overload it, access other people's data, or copy or resell the Service. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
7. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep the Service available and secure, but we can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or improve features over time, and will give notice of significant changes where we can.
8. Our liability
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
- We're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of profits, revenue or business.
- We're not liable for penalties, interest or tax arising from information you enter, returns you submit, or deadlines you miss.
- While the Service is free, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to £100.
9. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at any time. We may close accounts with reasonable notice, or straight away if these terms are seriously broken. Please export your records before your account closes.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We'll post the new version here, and tell account holders about important changes before they take effect.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
